Fisheries Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a juvenile fish trap at the University of Idaho’s Taylor Ranch Field Station. Responsibilities include handling, identifying, and tagging juvenile fish, and managing associated database. Other duties include assisting with other research and management activities. Duty schedule is typically 10 days on followed by 4 days off, but can vary. Access to the station is by charter plane, with flight costs paid by Department. Per diem provided when on duty.

Minimum Qualifications: B.S. degree in fisheries, biology, or related field; or equivalent in training or experience. Individuals with experience in above listed activities, or experience of working independently will be given preference.
