| Name: Scott Farnsworth Phone: (208) 232-4703 Email: sfarnsworth@idfg.idaho.gov Job Title: Wildlife Technician Location: Southeast Region Scott is currently Regional Nongame Biologist in the Magic Valley Region. In this capacity he conducts survey and monitoring projects for nongame wildlife including forest carnivores, bald eagles, reptiles and amphibians, and a variety of other species. He prepares and presents talks to school and community groups, addresses questions and concerns of Idaho citizens, and supports raptor rehabilitation efforts in Region 4. He also assists with department review and comment on a variety of state, federal, and private land use proposals and helps regional wildlife and fisheries staff on projects related to the management of sport fish, upland game, and big game. Scott received a B.S. in Biology from Idaho State University and a M.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries from the University of Arizona. He has previously worked as an Ecologist/Project Manager for two private environmental consulting firms; as a technician for several universities, the Idaho Department of Fish and Game and the National Park Service; and as Ecologist for the Tohono O'odham Nation in southern Arizona. Scott's enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters (Tara, Kestrel and Sage), yoga, all kinds of outdoor activities, listening to music, gardening, and landscaping with native plants. |
