Job Title: Wildlife Technician
Location: Southwest Region - McCall

Pam has been working for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game since February 2007. She was hired on as a crew leader for 3 projects: great grey owl surveys, northern Idaho ground squirrel monitoring, and flammulated owl surveys. Between those projects she assists with western grebe counts, and, during winter, surveys forest carnivores with fisher hair snag grids and wolverine bait stations. She has even ventured into the big game realm, assisting with black bear bait transects, hunter check stations, tracking radio-collared fawns and, most recently, fawn capture.

Pam received her B.S in biology from Idaho State University. Besides nongame biology she is also interested in wildlife rehabilitation and wildfire ecology. Off the clock she can be found fly fishing, hiking to alpine lakes, downhill and cross-country skiing, or listening to live music.
