After getting her undergraduate degree in Biology from Colby College in Maine, Jennifer went on to spend the next three years working on songbird research projects in California, Washington, Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Idaho. She then went on to get her master's degree from Boise State University studying the winter wren in forests of Western Washington. She is now a Wildlife Technician with Idaho Department of Fish and Game in the Clearwater Region working on big game and nongame projects including landbird monitoring and forest carnivore surveys.

When not working, she loves to spend time hiking and fishing the trails and streams of northern Idaho.
