The Salmon region does not have a specific program for volunteer projects. Some of the ongoing projects include mule deer fawn trapping and radio collaring. This usually occurs in December. The Pahsimeroi and Sawtooth Hatcheries also ask for help when spawning steelhead and salmon. The time frames for this activity are March for steelhead and late summer for chinook. In addition, if someone has a particular interest, individual staff may have projects that would be appropriate for volunteer help.
