Idaho Salmon & Steelhead Days Salmon Barbecue Thursday, September 11, 2008 — 5:30 - 8:00 pm
Support Idaho Salmon & Steelhead Days by attending the Salmon BBQ. Enjoy a delicious salmon dinner donated by Fred Meyer and prepared by Murphy's Seafood Bar & Grill. Dessert is donated by Goody's Soda Fountain & Candy Store. All barbecue activities are family friendly and include live music and gyotaku fish painting. The Nature Center stream walk will be open for viewing live Chinook salmon and kokanee salmon. Creatures of the Night - A Nocturnal Celebration October 24 & 25, 2008 — 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.
As the sun sets, out come the creatures of the night! Bring the whole family in costume to the MK Nature Center for our fourth annual Creatures of the Night Halloween event. Bring a sense of adventure for a night walk to learn all about nocturnal critters like beavers, owls, spiders, wolves, and crayfish. Create your own mask and enjoy fireside story telling. Purchase tickets in advance at the MK Nature Center after October 15. Tickets are $3/person (kids age 2 and under are free). A limited number of tickets (400/night) will be sold to maintain the quality of the event. The MK Nature Center is located behind Fish and Game Headquarters at 600 S. Walnut in Boise.
